A Letter of Consent or Consent Letter is a Legal document that gives a Legal Authorisation from the issuer to the person issued to obtain certain Legal Services.
For the purposes of applying for a Nigerian ePassport Application Process, the father of the Child/minor is expected to issue the Letter of Consent.
The Letter of Consent must be DULY signed by the child’s Father / Legal Guardian, and other necessary Documents accompanying it.
In case a Legal Guardian is appointed for the Minor/child, they are expected to produce a Court Order or court Affidavit awarding custody of the Minor/Child, and the a duly signed and executable Letter of Consent, and other necessary Documents as stipulated by the Nigeria Immigration Service Requirements for the Nigerian ePassport for Minors.
Likewise, in the case that the mother is named as the Legal Guardian or Sole Guardian of the minor child, she would be expected to issue the Letter of Consent with an evidence of the Court Order nominating her as such.
If you can get all these documents and sort them as per the Nigerian ePassport checklist for Minors, you would be doing yourself much good, as you would have a stress-free visit.
